MODULE 16 - HUNTING ROOSEVELT ELK

OK, before we even dive in and start talking about hunting Roosevelt elk, I have to make 2 disclaimers. First, at the time I am writing this Module, I have only personally hunted Roosevelt a handful of times. Second, after my first trip to hunt them, I am addicted to hunting Roosevelt elk!

It would be easy to generalize a lot of information about hunting a particular species or a particular area, especially for someone who has never hunted that species or area before. But before I attempted to provide any of this information related to hunting Roosevelt Elk, I wanted to make sure I had first-hand, on-the-ground experience hunting them. And while I feel I can now speak somewhat intelligently about hunting Roosevelt Elk, with just 25-30 days of total Roosevelt elk hunting experience, I know I am far from experienced.

For this Module, I will draw from my own personal experience, as well as insight and advice from several other seasoned Roosevelt Elk hunting friends. Friends like Shannon Mobbs and Cory Ford (Angry Spike Productions), Jody Cyr, Brent Eriksen, and David Brinker, have all played a role in providing information and advice that prepared me for my first Roosevelt elk hunt, and that I share here.
